I love all these girls but I could watch Kira-chan all day, especially when Akanen is there… Morita’s long hair makes her look boyish somehow, but I think that’s because it’s been teased a bit, i think she should leave it straight

OK I have a lot to say, so bear with me. I understand that these members are busy but when the show started there were 12 members present. Many members are missing. When the show ended there were 13 members. My Ozeki is M.I.A. again! Someone slipped out and Takemoto and Habu slipped in. When was the last show when all were present? Soko Magattara and Keyakikitte Kakenai were the reasons I fell for these girls. Do they not realize how important this show is to their careers? I mean I can understand why there are “hiatusus” and for health reasons but come on ladies this is part of the easy work. I’m not mad just frustrated! I look so forward to this show every week!
Kira and Akane is the best friendship on this show! And Akane and Endo not having “bangs” anymore is to cool. Morita’s hairstyle reminds me of Joan Jett in her early years.
Kobayashi, Ozeki, Inoue are the missing in action one’s. Did I miss any others?

I’m guessing they switched to senbatsu members once the crazy side segment was finished. Hit campaign is only relevant to senbatsu members, after all.
It’s quite common for these kinds of idol shows to not have every member present as the group grows bigger. Imagine AKB49, or even Nogizaka46, having all their members present during their variety show!
Remember that these variety shows are just one small part of the idol machine. The show airs after midnight in Japan, which should tell you how much importance is put on it. Not all members shine in variety, either. So, there are many things that are much more important to an idol’s career than after midnight variety shows.

Tim, I think it’s mainly because of the covid. And I like that japanese televisions are behaving exemplary and follow all the regulations, as is probably also the limited number of people in the studio. I’m sorry for replying to a 2 weeks old comment, but…
What do you mean by “do they not realize…”? This is their job. You can’t tell your boss that you “wont be coming to work because you dont feel like it” for several days in a row. Them not being there means they had a schedule conflict or were not asked to come in the first place, not that they are lazy or ignorant. I’m sure that non senbatsu members would be happy to come to every recording and finally get some screentime on the show – the management just does not call them. Same for Nogizaka’s show – they keep featuring the same popular members not because the others don’t want to participate, but because the management chose those. Besides, as Five By Five wrote already, they can’t fit the same number of people into the studio as they did before covid.
And if you pay attention to what the members say, you’ll see that recording variety is not easy and was a source of major stress for 1kis during keyaki era, and is for every shy idol
This was really good episode. People are talking about Akane and Kira, but the MVP of this episode is Sawabe. He is really trying in this one. The best sakamichi MC’s are Bananaman (mainly Shitara), but it does’t look like they care at all. Shitara is just great in talking. Audrey are my second favourite, but they also don’t look like they care about that show either (just look at Achikochi Audrey and you’ll understand) . Sawabe and Tsuchida were my least favourite, but in this episode they took the 2nd spot, because of Sawabe and their chemistry with girls.
Akanen’s derangement makes me like her even more. love it!
