5. i was so so so delighted when mii-chan got nominated (was hoping for her to win but, yeah, takemoto’s buns are too cute to pass too).
   .
   i remember that one fateful friday when my eyes caught a beautiful yet somewhat fragile looking porcelain doll with beautiful hair strolling near uniqlo klcc. i could not recall of any manga/anime or cosplay fiestas happening nearby and almost missed her.. when it hit me!
   hesitating for some seconds, i gathered the courage to turn around and tap her shoulder, “excuse me, are you koike minami of sakurazaka46?”
   she was surprised but smiled and nodded. whooaaa~~~ i could not believe my luck. and mii-chan was breathtakingly lovely up close!
   i got super jubilant and closed to twirling and dancing on the spot. i was so excited that i cannot remember any japanese word i have learned from duolingo, even a simple “arigatou”. semua ke laut.
   we had a bit of difficulty communicating – told her that i would be coming to pavilion bukit jalil, asked for permission to take her photo (to which she politely and understandably declined) and cheered her all the best.
   though a bit reluctant, i went back to office happily with a spring in my step. felt like broadcasting to the whole world about our encounter but decided not to as i want mii-chan and other sakurazaka46 members to enjoy malaysia at ease.

   learned about sakurazaka46’s coming to malaysia on thursday evening. bumped into mii-chan on friday noon. watched sakurazaka46’s performance at japan expo malaysia 2023 on saturday afternoon. best chain-of-events ever.

   1. Oh, I would so love to meet Koike in person.
      Just one thing Im proud of is handwritten autograph with my name also written by Koike. I won it on keyaki no kiseki game app shortly before they closed it.

   2. Lucky you! Koike is really a living doll; I’d love to see her in person. Hope she comes back to her normal activities.

   3. @jsprite yes, i look forward to her resuming her activities + be truly truly truly happy and all smiles.
      it saddens me to learn of her battle with panic disorder, and make me respect her more.
      i wish i could invite her over to malaysia for a long stay – based on some japanese and korean youtubers who work and/or live in malaysia, this country imperfect as she is, has given them room to breath. i wish for koike to find the same (if she does consider).
